Media error verification testing enables you to identify failing areas in tape usage. Use verification testing before putting unknown media into the pool. Manufacturing media is not a clean business. Clean the tapes to remove manufacturing debris. Clean the tapes before committing the media to long term storage. Use the cleaner to retension the tapes at least once per year offline! Using both parts of the equipment removes the time overheads caused by defective media as well as the risk of any tape backup, archive or processing failures, by the elimination/removal of underperforming or damaged media.

Tape Cleaning/Retensioning
